Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in roles related to Data Engineering, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Integration Engineering
- Solid proficiency in Python, particularly in building ETL workflows, handling API integrations, and processing XML/JSON data formats
- Practical exposure to AWS ecosystem, including services like Lambda, S3, Batch, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, including webhook-based communication patterns
- Familiarity with file-driven integrations, especially batch-oriented data exchange processes
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts, ideally using AWS CDK or Terraform
- Background in backend-focused integration work rather than large-scale analytical or BI platforms
- Interest in leveraging modern approaches such as Generative AI or AI-supported development techniques in everyday tasks
- English (B2)
Nice to have:
- Experience with technologies such as SOAP, HTNG, or Parquet
- Familiarity with tools and platforms like Apache Iceberg, DBT, or Redshift
- Knowledge of AWS Step Functions or Serverless Framework
- Exposure to hospitality systems or hotel tech ecosystems
Responsibilities:
- Integrating new hotel partners into the platform by connecting their Property Management Systems (PMS) with the pricing solution
- Designing and maintaining data integration pipelines using APIs, webhooks, scheduled polling, and batch file processing
- Reviewing and interpreting external technical documentation to understand integration requirements across various PMS providers
- Translating external data structures into consistent, scalable internal data models
- Building and maintaining backend ETL pipelines in Python
- Utilizing AWS services to develop and enhance the integration architecture
- Optimizing existing integrations by improving error handling, monitoring, and configuration practices
- Diagnosing and resolving integration-related issues to ensure stable and reliable data flows in production
- Contributing to the evolution of the integration codebase with emphasis on maintainability and scalability for future growth
