Year 6 Primary Teacher – September Start
Location: Worthing, West SussexContract: Long‑term / PermanentStart Date: September 2026
A welcoming and well‑established 3‑form entry primary school in Worthing is seeking an experienced Year 6 teacher to join their team from September.
This is a well‑supported role within a collaborative upper KS2 team, working alongside experienced colleagues and a strong leadership structure. The school has a positive reputation locally and prides itself on supportive staff, clear systems and a genuine focus on staff wellbeing.
The Role
Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
Some pupils with EHCPs in the class, supported by experienced support staff
Planning, delivering and assessing high‑quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
Preparing pupils confidently for transition to secondary school
Working closely with colleagues, SEND staff and leadership
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Primary teaching experience required (ECTs are not able to be considered for this role)
Confident teaching upper KS2, ideally with recent Year 6 experience
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs / EHCPs
Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent classroom approach
A positive, team‑focused attitude
