About the Role
<div><p>We are looking for an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner to join our client's property team on a hybrid working basis, alongside an assistant. The successful applicant will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, including sales, purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, forward‑thinking firm and to deliver excellent client service while developing professionally.</p><p>Hybrid working, Salford/Greater Bolton Area</p><p>Salary up to £45,000</p><p>Key responsibilities:</p></div><ul><li><p>Progress a personal caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity; ensure matters progress in line with agreed timescales and client expectations.</p></li><li><p>Prepare, review and draft transactional documentation such as contracts, transfers, priority documentation, replies to pre‑contract enquiries and requisitions on title; ensure accuracy and compliance with lender and firm requirements.</p></li><li><p>Conduct comprehensive title and file reviews, identify and address title defects, leasehold issues and other risks; refer or escalate complex matters to senior colleagues when necessary.</p></li><li><p>Liaise proactively with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, surveyors, other firms and third parties to obtain information, chase outstanding actions and co‑ordinate transactions to completion.</p></li><li><p>Maintain accurate file records on the case management system, ensure thorough file notes and document management, assist with time recording and billing information and prepare completion statements as required.</p></li><li><p>Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm, support junior team members where appropriate and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and service delivery.</p></li></ul><div><p>Key skills and experience:</p></div><ul><li><p>Proven experience as a residential conveyancer, fee earner, senior paralegal or qualified solicitor handling a broad range of residential property transactions within a law firm or conveyancing practice.</p></li><li><p>Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing including searches, title and leasehold issues, mortgage documentation, SDLT and completion accounting.</p></li><li><p>Excellent drafting and document review skills with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work within deadlines.</p></li><li><p>Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands, manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision and meet client and lender timescales while working in a hybrid pattern.</p></li></ul>
