Humanities Teacher - Secondary School - Chester

£150-£200 per day (dependent on experience)

Simply Education is currently recruiting a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to work in a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools in Chester. We have opportunities available for daily supply, short-term cover, and long-term placements.

This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are confident delivering engaging History, Geography or Religious Education lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Differentiate learning to support students of all abilities
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations
• Mark and assess work in line with school policies (for long-term roles)
• Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and a positive learning environment
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school life where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• QTS, QTLS or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A proactive and flexible approach
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
