Teacher of History - KS4 & A-Level - Brighouse (Sept 2026)

About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting a passionate History Teacher for a long-term supply role in a secondary school in Brighouse, starting in September. The school is recognised for its focus on academic excellence, high standards and fostering a love of learning through an engaging and challenging curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver inspiring History lessons across KS4 and KS5.
• Encourage pupils to develop critical thinking and historical enquiry skills.
• Support students with coursework, assessments and exam preparation.
• Monitor attainment and provide effective feedback.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
