Indicative Salary Range: 3622€ to 5520€ per month

As a Temporary Teacher of Chemistry, you will:
Covering for an absent colleague on long-term sick leave, until the end of the academic year (July 2026).
Deliver engaging Chemistry/Science lessons and practical activities, in English, to students aged 11-18, following the European Baccalaureate curriculum. Note - the role is predominently for Chemistry, but will also include some science lessons.
Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student’s talent is nurtured.
Collaborate with a team of passionate educators to support a thriving science programme.
Assess students’ progress through formative and summative evaluations, including coursework, class assessments and written exams.
Attend and participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and European School-related training.
What We’re Looking For
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or closely related fields (First-degree/Eerste graads) · Full teaching qualification for Secondary Education (recognised by the Dutch Education Authorities) is desirable, but not essential for a temporary position.
Excellent English (C2 level).
Experience teaching in international or intercultural settings is desirable.
A creative, inclusive approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.
The ability to speak other European languages is desirable, but is not an essential requirement for this role.
