General Laborer

<p><strong>Job Title: General Laborer</strong><p><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The General Laborer works in a modern production facility, supporting concrete production and related activities. You set up molds, assemble rebar cages, pour and finish concrete, and perform a wide range of general labor tasks while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work area. You operate hand and power tools, measuring devices, mobile equipment, and cranes, and assist with special projects as needed.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Set up molds and forms to prepare for concrete pours according to production requirements.</li><li>Assemble rebar cages and reinforcement components accurately and safely.</li><li>Pour, spread, and finish concrete to specified standards and quality requirements.</li><li>Assist with shoveling and moving concrete within the production environment.</li><li>Operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices in a safe and effective manner.</li><li>Operate mobile equipment and cranes as directed, including working around suspended loads and high-tension strand.</li><li>Access scaffolds and other elevated work platforms while following all safety procedures.</li><li>Perform general laborer duties such as material handling, site cleanup, and basic maintenance tasks.</li><li>Support special projects and production initiatives as assigned by supervisors.</li><li>Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area throughout the shift.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Skills</strong></p><ul><li>At least 2 years of general labor or construction experience.</li><li>Ability to work safely in a production environment around concrete, suspended loads, and high-tension strand.</li><li>Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in a construction or industrial setting.</li><li>Experience working with concrete or in concrete-related tasks (pouring, finishing, or handling) is strongly preferred.</li><li>Ability to read and use measuring devices accurately.</li><li>Capability to work at heights on scaffolds and elevated work platforms.</li><li>Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, shoveling, bending, and standing for extended periods.</li><li>Reliable attendance and ability to work first shift, Monday through Friday from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in construction, concrete, carpentry, or general labor.</li><li>Exposure to production environments such as batch plant operations, rigging, carpentry, welding, mechanics, or concrete finishing is beneficial, though this role focuses on general labor.</li><li>Comfort operating or working around mobile equipment and cranes.</li><li>Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.</li><li>Commitment to safety and quality in all tasks.</li><li>No formal certifications required for this position.</li></ul><strong>Job Type & Location</strong><p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newman Lake, WA.</p><strong>Pay and Benefits</strong><p>The pay range for this position is $23.19 - $25.05/hr.<p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
