About the Role
<p>We are an acute care medical center and a member of a neighboring large Academic Health System looking for a Lead Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to join our growing team. As the Lead Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist you will<br />
play a key role in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring the coordination of daily workflow, technical excellence during procedures, and adherence to quality and safety standards as well as act as a mentor, preceptor, and resource to staff, supporting operational efficiency and optimal patient outcomes in a complex, high-acuity procedural environment.</p>

Hours: Mon-Fri; 7a-5p, 8a-6p, 9a-7p, 10a-8p varied shifts, w/ off-hours & wked/hol. on call duties<br />
Salary: $84,000 – $124,000 (Depending on Experience)</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Provides daily oversight of room assignments, workflow, and staffing coordination to ensure smooth lab operations assisting with schedule adjustments and staff coverage during callouts, high-volume periods, or emergencies.<br />
Participates in hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new staff; provides input into performance evaluations delivering ongoing mentorship and training to support clinical competency and staff development.<br />
Functions as lead cardiovascular invasive specialist during complex procedures in both the Cath and EP labs, including interventions, ablations, and device implants.<br />
Demonstrates expertise in operating and troubleshooting imaging, monitoring, and therapeutic equipment (e.g., IVUS, ICE, FFR/IFR, RF generators, mapping systems).and supports the interdisciplinary team by facilitating procedural flow and anticipating equipment or clinical needs.<br />
Ensures compliance with all safety standards, including infection control, radiation protection, and patient monitoring as well as oversees equipment maintenance and quality control checks; initiates timely service or repair requests.<br />
Participates in accreditation and regulatory readiness efforts to ensure compliance with governmental, state, and accreditation standards and assists with department audits, incident reporting, and continuous quality improvement projects.</p>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<p>A graduate of a certificate or degree program or post-secondary educational program in health science (includes but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT).<br />
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.<br />
Successful completion of scrub technician training program or hospital-based training program<br />
5 years scrub technician or cardiac technician experience preferred.<br />
BLS, ACLS required and RCIS or RCES required<br />
Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and ability to apply new concepts and skills in invasive cardiology.</p>
