Year 5 Teacher Leeds

We are seeking a passionate and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the LS16 area of Leeds from September 2026. This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate of £160–£200, depending on experience. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Year 5 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they progress through upper Key Stage 2.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong focus on pupil wellbeing, academic achievement, and developing confident, independent learners. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 5 curriculum in line with national expectations.
• Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes.
• Create a stimulating and well-managed classroom environment that supports learning and independence.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners within the class.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil achievement and wellbeing.

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 5 or upper KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
