Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Primary School
Location: Bracknell
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Bracknell is seeking a skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced support professional who is passionate about enhancing children’s learning and development across the primary age range.

About the Role:
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. You will work closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality support, lead small group interventions, and occasionally cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities across the primary curriculum

  • Provide high-quality support to individuals and small groups of pupils

  • Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning

  • Support pupils with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs

  • Assist with planning, preparation, and assessment of learning activities

  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Essential Requirements:

  • HLTA Status (Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification) – this is essential

  • Proven experience working within a primary school setting

  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Good behaviour management skills

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND

  • Additional relevant qualifications or training in education
