Job Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role is a contract position and involves designing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex network environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
- Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and Cisco ISE for secure network access control.
- Deploy and troubleshoot Aruba wireless solutions to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Conduct security assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide Tier 3 support for network-related issues.
- Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to support infrastructure projects and initiatives
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Required Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Proficiency with Cisco ISE for identity-based network access control.
- Hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless solutions, including deployment and troubleshooting.
- In-depth understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
- Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field or equivalent experience.
- CCNA, CCNP or related certification.
- Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy configuration and threat management.
- Must be available to work a contract-based role.
