Proposals Engineer - VR/32042

Join a specialist offshore engineering business focused on mooring systems and floating assets as a Proposals Engineer. The role centres on coordinating and preparing proposals for installation, replacement and decommissioning scopes across the oil and gas and renewables sectors, supporting moored offshore assets including FPSOs and similar units. Hybrid working is available, with three days in the office and two working from home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating tender submissions in response to client ITBs and RFPs.
• Reviewing client enquiries and preparing clarifications relating to scope, technical requirements and submission criteria.
• Contributing to bid review meetings to support pricing and strategy decisions.
• Preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing sheets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Liaising with engineering and technical teams to confirm feasibility of client requirements and equipment or vessel availability.
• Developing pricing recommendations based on market conditions and commercial considerations.
• Compiling and validating all inputs to ensure compliance with client requirements prior to submission.
• Coordinating responses to post-tender clarifications and following up on submitted quotations.
• Preparing structured project handover documentation following successful awards.
• Maintaining proposal templates, track records and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Producing post-bid summaries and capturing lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

About You:

• High level of accuracy when preparing and reviewing proposals and commercial documentation.
• Strong understanding of technical and commercial principles to support effective bid development.
• Confident preparing cost estimates and working with detailed pricing information.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using Adobe software for document preparation.
• Clear and professional communicator, comfortable engaging with internal teams, clients and suppliers.
• Experience sourcing third-party quotations and carrying out commercial evaluations.
• Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to work independently when required.
