Small Works Engineer

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Small Works Engineer to join a growing team. In this role, you’ll deliver small-scale fire safety projects and maintenance tasks, ensuring systems are reliable, compliant, and optimised - helping to keep people and businesses safe every day.
What you’ll do:
- Install and commission small to medium-scale fire alarm projects (addressable and non-addressable systems)
- Commission systems from a range of manufacturers
- Review project specifications, drawings, and documentation to plan and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Provide professional, solutions-focused customer service
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
- Complete reports, timesheets, and expenses accurately
- Attend appointments punctually and maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate promptly with the office about any major system issues or site challenges
- Represent the company professionally on all customer sites
Who we’re looking for:
- Advanced experience with fire alarm systems
- FIA Units 1, 2/3, and 5
- Proven installation and commissioning skills
- Solid understanding of electrical installation procedures in fire and security
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to build trust with clients
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail, initiative, and professionalism
