Learning Support Assistant

About the role:
justteachers are supporting a primary school in Rugby to recruit a Learning Support Assistant. This is a full-time role with a September 2026 start, fixed term until the end of the academic year. The school prides itself on its inclusive culture, supportive leadership and excellent pastoral care. The successful candidate will work across KS1 and KS2 supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support pupils within classroom lessons
• Deliver small group intervention sessions
• Encourage confidence and independence
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff

Pre-requisites:

• Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
• Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
• A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
