Head of Finance

As our Head of Finance, you will be at the heart of the business, connecting financial management with business development, identifying opportunities, and ensuring every decision is informed by accurate, forward-looking insight.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul class="_44e8fd31 _05481107"> <li>Lead the delivery of all financial reporting, statutory accounts, and year-end processes</li> <li>Establish a finance function that provides forward-looking management information, not just historical data.</li> <li>Own and drive forecasting, DSO, DPO, and cash flow management.</li> <li>Deliver full transparency on profitability across customers, segments, and products.</li> <li>Provide financial insight to support pricing strategy, contract negotiations, and investment decisions</li> <li>Build processes that ensure resources are allocated where returns are greatest.</li> <li>Identify and implement initiatives that strengthen margins, efficiency, and cash flow.</li> <li>Develop and mentor the finance team, ensuring capabilities match strategic ambitions.</li> <li>Act as a proactive business partner and challenger, translating financial insight into action that improves margins, cash flow, and overall value creation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Key Competencies &amp; Requirements:</strong></p> <ul class="_44e8fd31 _05481107"> <li>Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)</li> <li>Strong accounting, controlling, and business analytics skills.</li> <li>Deep understanding of UK accounting/taxation laws and regulations.</li> <li>Proven experience in business control &amp; accounting, including minimum experience in a management position.</li> <li>Strong analytical mindset, able to identify business drivers behind the numbers and educate the organisation accordingly.</li> <li>IT proficiency across Microsoft packages and ERP systems.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Personal Attributes:</strong></p> <ul class="_44e8fd31 _05481107"> <li>Inspirational and engaging, able to create passion and drive in others to drive overall proficiency across the Finance function.</li> <li>Professional, prepared, and confident under pressure.</li> <li>Focused on continuous improvement.</li> <li>Results-driven, detail-focused and action-oriented.</li> <li>Committed to delivering solutions and supporting the business to grow stronger and more profitable.</li> </ul> <p>If you’re looking for a role where finance is more than a back-office function, where your insights directly shape strategy and where you can make a real impact on value creation, this is the opportunity for you.
