About the Role
Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Support Assistant – Swansea | £14.30 per hour
Teaching Personnel is seeking compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic ALN Support Assistants to work in a welcoming primary school located in Swansea. The school is known for its strong community values, inclusive ethos, and dedicated support for pupils with a range of additional learning needs—including physical disabilities, communication difficulties, ASD, and complex medical requirements.

✅ Role Overview
You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups across a nurturing ALN provision. This role includes elements of personal care, mobility assistance, and practical classroom support, making it ideal for someone who truly wants to make a meaningful difference.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning needs
Supporting learners with physical disabilities, mobility needs or personal care
Assisting with communication strategies and adapted learning resources
Working closely with teachers, ALNCo and external specialists
Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
Supporting behaviour management and sensory regulation activities
Maintaining safeguarding standards at all times

Youth or community work
Residential care, NHS or social care settings
✅ Pay & Working Hours
£14.30 per hour – paid weekly via PAYE
Full‑time and part‑time roles available
Long‑term, ongoing placements with potential to become permanent
A driving licence is highly desirable due to accessibility and travel requirements.
