Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Support Assistant – Swansea | £14.30 per hour Teaching Personnel is seeking compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic ALN Support Assistants to work in a welcoming primary school located in Swansea. We are recruiting for individuals who can provide both academic and personal support, ensuring every child is given the best opportunity to thrive. ✅ Role Overview You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups across a nurturing ALN provision. This role includes elements of personal care, mobility assistance, and practical classroom support, making it ideal for someone who truly wants to make a meaningful difference. ✅ Key Responsibilities Providing 1:1 support to pupils with additional learning needs Supporting learners with physical disabilities, mobility needs or personal care Assisting with communication strategies and adapted learning resources Working closely with teachers, ALNCo and external specialists Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing Supporting behaviour management and sensory regulation activities Maintaining safeguarding standards at all times ✅ What the School is Looking For This Swansea-based primary school values staff who are patient, empathetic and confident in supporting pupils with diverse needs.
