Our client is a well-established, family-owned row crop (vegetable) operation to identify a strategic and relationship-driven Chief Sales Officer. This organization is building a more intentional, aligned sales function to support both its customers and production capabilities.
This individual will play a critical leadership role, serving as the bridge between farm operations and the marketplace. The right person will bring both strategic vision and practical execution, someone who understands agricultural markets, values relationships, and is excited about the opportunity to build and lead.
Responsibilities
• Lead the strategic direction of the sales function, aligning commercial efforts with production capabilities and long-term business goals
• Serve as the primary liaison between farm operations and the sales team, ensuring strong communication and alignment
• Build, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team, including defining structure, roles, and performance expectations
• Collaborate with ownership to design and implement sales and marketing strategies that support sustainable growth
• Manage and strengthen key customer relationships while identifying new market opportunities
• Utilize industry software and tools (including ERP systems) for forecasting, planning, and customer management
• Ensure alignment between sales commitments, pricing strategies, and production realities
• Represent the organization with professionalism across customers, partners, and industry stakeholders

• Willingness to travel and spend extended time on-site during peak production seasons
