Mobile Forklift Engineer

Are you a Forklift Engineer, Field Service Technician, HGV/Plant Engineer, or Materials Handling Engineer looking for a role where your skills are truly valued? We're hiring a Field Service Engineer covering Sheffield and surrounding areas, working on forklifts, lift trucks, and other materials handling equipment. You'll have the freedom to work independently, manage your own day, and deliver high-quality service to customers. No micromanagement. No pointless workshop time. Just proper engineering. What You'll Be Doing Fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on forklifts, counterbalance trucks, reach trucks, order pickers, and pallet trucks Servicing, preventative maintenance, and emergency breakdown support Keeping both customer and company machines fully operational Working independently across Newcastle and nearby sites Completing job reports and communicating clearly with customers What You'll Need Technical background in forklifts, lift trucks, plant, HGVs, or similar materials handling equipment Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Previous experience as a Forklift Engineer, Service Technician, Field Engineer, or Mobile Engineer Ability to work safely and independently Professional, customer-focused approach What You'll Get Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience) 40-hour working week with overtime opportunities Company van + tools provided Ongoing training and development Autonomy to manage your day and get the job done Ideal if you've worked as a: Forklift Engineer / Lift Truck Technician Field Service Engineer / Mobile Engineer Plant / HGV Engineer Materials Handling Technician Experience with counterbalance, reach, pallet, or order picking trucks
