Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced System Verification Engineer – Functional Safety (FuSa) to join a SoC verification team working on complex, safety-critical semiconductor designs.

This role focuses on system-level verification, fault injection, and functional safety validation using simulation and hardware-assisted verification platforms. You will work closely with architecture, design, firmware, software, validation, and verification teams to ensure robust verification coverage and compliance with functional safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute system-level verification plans for safety-critical SoC features
  • Define and implement fault injection strategies and safety verification methodologies
  • Verify safety mechanisms and safety-related system behaviour
  • Translate architecture specifications and safety requirements into verification scenarios
  • Debug complex issues across hardware, firmware, software, and verification environments
  • Analyse regression results and drive issue resolution through to sign-off
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the verification lifecycle

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in SoC, subsystem, or system verification
  • Strong understanding of Functional Safety (FuSa) concepts in automotive semiconductor development
  • Hands-on experience with fault injection and safety verification methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM
  • Experience with Cadence Xcelium and Cadence Verisium Manager (vManager)
  • Good understanding of compile-time and run-time switches
  • Strong debugging skills across functional verification and fault simulations
  • Scripting experience with TCL, Bash, Python, or Perl
  • Knowledge of AHB, AXI, and APB protocols
  • Experience with regression management and root-cause analysis

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with ISO 26262 automotive functional safety standards
  • Experience verifying complex SoC environments
