Liverpool - Advance Practitioner - Assessment Team

Liverpool City Council is looking for an experienced and dedicated Advance Practitioner for the Assessment Teams. Location:- Trinity Road, Bootle, Merseyside, L20 3NJ Payrate:- £40.00 per hour (Umbrella) Work Patterns :- Duty week 1 in 5 weeks, must be on site all week during duty week Key Responsibilities: - Undertaking Initial Assessments Undertaking Core Assessments Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries Undertaking Pre-Birth Assessments Undertaking assessments using the Common Assessment Framework Undertaking Risk Assessments Undertaking Human Rights Assessments Undertaking Age Assessments Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need Carrying out home visits for monitoring purposes/ to promote the welfare of and to safeguard the children Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children/ young people's needs Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans Initiating Care Proceedings Completion of Care Proceedings Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders Preparing and presenting case conference reports Applying for and obtaining Emergency Protection Orders Preparing and presenting case conference reports Essential Requirements: Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services Social Work England Registration Driving license and access to own vehicle If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to Yug Vaishnav at or call on 020 4574 3378.
