Year 6 Teacher Leeds

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the LS26 area of Leeds from September 2026 . This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate of £160–£200 , depending on experience. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 6 class, supporting pupils through their final year of primary education and preparing them for a successful transition into secondary school. The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong focus on pupil progress, wellbeing, and high expectations. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured and engaging learning environment where children feel supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. The leadership team is approachable and committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, ensuring staff are well supported throughout the academic year. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum in line with national expectations. Prepare pupils for SATs through high-quality teaching and targeted intervention where required. Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong academic outcomes. Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment that promotes independence and resilience. Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil achievement. Pre-requisites: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Recent experience teaching within upper KS2, ideally Year 6. Strong understanding of SATs requirements and Year 6 expectations. Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills. A proactive, organised, and committed approach to teaching.
