Includes setup, operation, methods, machines, tooling materials, safety requirements and programming.</strong></b></span></p><p><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Plan setups and tooling, while simultaneously operating CNC lathe, mill, welding table, and other equipment to perform turning, boring, milling, drilling, broaching and other similar machining operations on a variety of machined parts.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Program CNC lathe, mill and related equipment.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Detect faulty operation or defective material.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Report all unusual conditions to Supervisor.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Check parts frequently or according to prescribed schedule using precision measuring instruments to assure conformance of parts to specifications.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Sharpen tools and adjust machines, attachments, and tools as required.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Replenish coolant as needed.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Remove chips from machine and place in proper container.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Completes records and reports as directed.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Coordinates, maintains, and orders the necessary parts, tools, and supplies in an organized manner to assure a smooth flow of production.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Completes orders on time and to the required specifications.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Works in close cooperation with Maintenance Department when machine repairs are required.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Be able to program from part drawings, specifications, and instructions.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Handles material as directed to ensure an uninterrupted flow of work.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Performs preventative maintenance as required.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Instructs and, when required, trains operators on production operations and periodically checks operating procedures to assure safety and quality of work.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Maintains tools, machines, and work area in a clean and orderly manner.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• Advises on better means to complete the functions within the job and continually improves the operation.</strong></b></span><br><span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:12px;"><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight:normal;"><strong>• May perform additional duties within the broad scope of the job and/or in the department.</strong></b></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>• Education: Minimum of two years post-secondary technical school or equivalent. Shop mathematics, geometry, trigonometry, and algebra. Must have 1 year of CNC machining / programming experience.</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>• Be able to use accurately all measuring instruments (i.e. micrometer, calipers, depth gauges, comparators, height gauges, ring gauges, thread gauges).</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>• Ability to program and setup CNC equipment.</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>• Identify work and record required information pertinent to production, quality, and time records.</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>EQUIPMENT USED:</strong></span><br><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>CNC mills, lathes and welder.
