Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £40,000–£45,000 (DOE)
Hours: Permanent, 37.5 hours per week

We’re looking for a proactive Maintenance Engineer who can keep operations running smoothly, tackle challenges head‑on, and take pride in delivering exceptional results day after day.

• Respond rapidly to breakdowns across a diverse range of equipment – from hand tools and compressors to heating systems and robotic welding cells.
• Diagnose faults, carry out effective repairs, and reduce downtime.
• Maintain a strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
• Lead the charge on preventative maintenance and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Work closely with internal teams and external contractors to keep every system performing at its best.

Essential:

• City & Guilds or equivalent maintenance qualification.
• Strong hands‑on maintenance skills with a safety‑first approach.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently or within a team.
• Full driving licence.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Desirable:

• Experience with TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of PUWER, LOLER, and H&S standards (IOSH).
• Confidence using MS Office and maintenance record systems.
