About the Role
A fast-growing neurosurgery practice in the South needs to recruit a cranial-focused neurosurgeon. This is a terrific opportunity to join a very well-run, busy community practice in a gorgeous city. The position will offer an opportunity for a cranial neurosurgeon to see over 250 cases per year. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience. <br><br>This position is at one of the largest hospitals in its state: a Level III tertiary care facility with more than 900 beds. Annually, the hospital performs 7,000 neurological and orthopedic cases.<br><br>If interested, the neurosurgeon can see as many spine cases as desired in their practice as well; however, spine cases are not required, as the team has orthopedic spine surgeons who participate in the call schedule. The neurosurgeon can have a full cranial practice if preferred. The practice have a strong relationship with the Oncology service line, seeing a high volume of metastatic, primary, and skull base tumors. They are not a Level I Trauma Center but are a Comprehensive Stroke Center so frequently perform decompressive craniectomies for stroke, as well as low impact hematoma evacuations. A vascular neurosurgeon manages most of the aneurysms and vascular malformations. <br><br>This organization is close to a $5 Billion non-profit healthcare provider with hospitals extending all along the Atlantic coast. It is affiliated with multiple elite university. The healthcare system provides tertiary care in many sub-specialties.
