Associate Category Manager – Procurement (Hybrid) Franklinton, NC (Hybrid)

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Associate Category Manager to support strategic procurement initiatives and supplier management activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This hybrid role offers an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional looking to grow their sourcing, supplier relationship management, and supply chain expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of direct materials and procurement projects.
- Support sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and supplier approvals.
- Conduct market research, spend analysis, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Assist with procurement strategies focused on cost optimization and risk mitigation.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery metrics, and supply continuity.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Production, Quality, Finance, and other internal teams.
- Support forecasting activities and raw material budgeting.
- Monitor procurement KPIs including lead times, on-time delivery, and supplier performance.
- Assist in resolving supply issues and ensuring uninterrupted material availability.
- Support procure-to-pay processes and operational purchasing activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, purchasing, or category management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with suppliers, contracts, and procurement systems preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
