Commissioning Engineer – Marine & Offshore
Full-time | 40 hours per week | Higher Vocational Education (HBO)
We are currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support Marine & Offshore projects worldwide. This role involves starting up, adjusting, and optimizing both control and electrical installations, as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during inspection and certification processes.
The position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale shipbuilding and offshore projects, with responsibilities ranging from system commissioning to ensuring compliance with technical specifications and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning and fine-tuning of control and electrical installations.
- Analyzing and optimizing systems to meet project requirements.
- Troubleshooting issues identified during inspection and certification.
- Coordinating with stakeholders, including certifying authorities, to ensure smooth acceptance processes.
- Ensuring reliable, high-quality, and fully operational system delivery.
- Managing technical documentation, inspection plans, and test protocols.
- Tracking revisions and handling related reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Higher vocational education (HBO) in Energy Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of commissioning experience, preferably in the maritime or offshore sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible, hands-on, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Willingness to work offshore and travel internationally when required.
- Strong focus on Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
