About the Role
Computer Science Teacher – Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Ipswich and the surrounding areas, delivering high‑quality learning experiences in Computer Science across Key Stages.
Duties as Computer Science Teacher:Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons following provided plans
Teach a range of topics including programming, algorithms, data representation, systems architecture, and digital literacy
Support students in developing computational thinking and problem‑solving skills
Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
Assess and record pupil progress when required
Adapt teaching strategies to support learners of varying abilities
Contribute to departmental planning during longer‑term placements
Ideal Computer Science Teacher:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and related areas
Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to motivate and inspire learners across a range of year groups
Adaptable to different school environments and curriculum requirements
Strong organisational and communication skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
