Opening: Medical Billing Specialist (On-Site | Sign-On Bonus!)
Location: Anchorage, AK
Pay:$23-33+ DOE ( $3,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year commitment)
COMPANY INFO:
We are partnering with a leading cardiovascular healthcare organization seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join their Business Office team. This is a great opportunity to work alongside a highly skilled group of billing, coding, and clinical professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing claims, ensuring accuracy, and supporting revenue cycle operations.
- Research and resolve aging, denied, and rejected claims in a timely manner
- Submit electronic and paper claims with appropriate documentation and EOBs
- Interpret payer policies and respond to insurance requests and denials
- Maintain strong understanding of billing processes, collections, and financial assistance programs
- Communicate professionally with patients, insurance carriers, and healthcare staff
- Ensure all work is compliant with HIPAA and internal policies
- Support a high-volume billing environment with accuracy and efficiency
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience (insurance follow-up required)
- Active CPB or CPC certification (preferred/required based on candidate)
- Strong knowledge of EOBs, payer policies, and claims processes
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on-site in a team-oriented environment
