Tijdens de opdracht doet de student praktijkervaring op met moderne datatechnologieën, (AI-gestuurde) technieken en uitdagingen uit de echte wereld. Je werkt nauw samen met senior ingenieurs, ontwikkelaars en architecten en krijgt begeleiding gedurende de onderzoeks- en bouwfase.

Wat moet je doen:

Cloudgebruik groeit snel, maar brengt ook uitdagingen zoals onvoorspelbare kosten en gebrek aan governance. Tijdens deze stage onderzoek je hoe organisaties grip kunnen krijgen op hun cloudverbruik.

Opdrachtomschrijving

Het doel is het ontwikkelen van een praktisch en toepasbaar model voor cloud cost optimization.

Je gaat:

• Cloudkosten analyseren en belangrijkste cost drivers identificeren
• Optimalisatiehefbomen in kaart brengen (architectuur, gebruik, governance)
• Een governance model ontwerpen (rollen, processen, afspraken)
• Een gestructureerde aanpak ontwikkelen voor cost assessments
• Een workshop- en roadmap-format uitwerken

Onderzoeksvraag (indicatief)

• Hoe kan een organisatie cloudkosten effectief optimaliseren door combinatie van technische maatregelen en governance?
• Te behalen resultaat
• Cost optimization playbook
• Governance model en werkwijze
• Concrete assessment methodiek
• Evaluatie op toepasbaarheid en impact
• Eindrapport met aanbevelingen

Qualifications

Profiel:

• HBO/WO richting IT, Business IT of Data
• Interesse in cloud, financiën en governance
• Analytisch sterk
• Affiniteit met proces- en organisatievraagstukken

Wat bieden wij:

• Afstudeerstage met focus op thesisonderzoek (geen staffing op klantprojecten/chargeable werk).
• Begeleiding door een supervisor binnen de practice.
• (Optioneel) ruimte voor Microsoft-certificering en aanvullende ontwikkeling.
• Programma-elementen zoals onboarding/intro en (afhankelijk van cohort) training/activiteiten.
• Richtlijn: 2–3 dagen per week aanwezig op kantoor.

Avanade is already serving hundreds of SME&C clients across AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms, and Security. Our focus now is structure and repeatability — packaging 25 years of enterprise experience into scalable, predictable motions designed specifically for SME&C. To enable this- we have launched a dedicated SME&C Business Unit which will have Solution specific ‘Catalyst Squads’ which will be virtual teams taking an opportunity for prepackaged and repeatable ‘Catalyst Solutions’ from qualified lead through to delivery completion.

Accountable for driving market activation for Avanade’s SME&C business unit in (EME, APAC, Americas). Working with the SME&C leader for the Area and the SME&C GTM Global leader, creating the plan that encompasses client segmentation, Avanade sales enablement, Microsoft enablement, and campaigns to drive growth for Avanade in the SMEC market segment.

This is a critical role with a focus on enabling the growth for Avanade in the SMEC segment in partnership with Microsoft. It requires strong planning and execution skills, a client centric mindset and a determination to build something new. It acts as the bridge between our specialist teams in catalyst solutions, squads, sales, marketing and alliances bringing together the best of our capabilities to drive growth.

They will lead regular engagements with each of our regions, driving campaigns, co-ordinating content requirements, innovating how the Area benefits from various budgets and funding options to drive activation.
