Job Overview
We are seeking a
skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in
Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong
mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills who thrives both independently and as part of a collaborative team. The Maintenance Technician will support equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and help optimize maintenance operations across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and measurement maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hard-wired electrical systems, PLC software, and control panels
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete preventive and corrective maintenance projects
- Demonstrate leadership through strong communication, organization, and planning
- Train production technicians on machinery fundamentals and basic troubleshooting techniques
- Support maintenance projects using effective problem-solving, decision-making, and project management skills
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, including working safely with high and low voltage systems
- Respond to after-hours maintenance calls as needed to support production continuity
Required Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Associate’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role
- Prior experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment (required)
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Advanced mechanical skills including gears, motors, conveyors, and drives
- Advanced electrical (hard-wire) and PLC programming/troubleshooting skills
- Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and measurement tools
- Basic competencies in machine shop operations and welding
- Experience working with high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems
- Advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving abilities
- Proven skills in project management, planning, and organization
