Year 2 Teacher Huntingdon

About the role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school near Huntingdon. The school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to achieve their full potential and develop a love of learning.

This role is a part-time position, working 2 days per week as part of a job share arrangement. School are flexible on which 2 days. Planning will be provided by the class teacher and you will be expected to deliver lessons following school policies.

This position is due to start in September 2026 and is required for the full academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons using planning provided by the class teacher
• Mark pupils’ work and provide feedback in line with school policies
• Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment
• Support pupils’ learning, progress, and wellbeing
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents as part of the job share arrangement

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
• Right to work in the UK and references covering the last 2 years
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
