Senior Quantity Surveyor

<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>An excellent opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Senior Quantity Surveyor</strong> to join a leading organisation delivering complex infrastructure and construction projects.</p> <p>You will take a <strong>key commercial lead</strong> across projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and risk management, with a particular focus on <strong>NEC contracts (Option E)</strong> and cost-reimbursable frameworks.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the commercial management of projects from tender stage through to final account</li> <li>Administer NEC contracts (Option E), ensuring compliance and best practice</li> <li>Manage compensation events, variations, and change control processes</li> <li>Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts</li> <li>Monitor and forecast project costs, budgets, and cash flow</li> <li>Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities</li> <li>Provide strategic commercial input to project delivery teams</li> <li>Build and maintain strong client, subcontractor, and stakeholder relationships</li> <li>Support and mentor Assistant and Intermediate Quantity Surveyors</li> <li>Ensure accurate reporting and adherence to company governance procedures</li> </ul> <p><strong>Candidate Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within infrastructure or major construction</li> <li>Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts (especially Option E)</li> <li>Experience working on cost-reimbursable or target cost contracts</li> <li>Excellent commercial awareness and financial management skills</li> <li>Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities</li> <li>Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent)</li> <li>Membership of a professional body (e.g. RICS) is advantageous</li> </ul> <p><strong>What&rsquo;s on Offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Involvement in high-value, high-profile infrastructure projects</li> <li>Long-term project pipeline providing job security</li> <li>Supportive and collaborative team environment</li> <li>Competitive salary, benefits, and career progression opportunities</li> <li>Ongoing professional development and training</li> </ul>
