We are seeking a Meter Reader for assignment in The Villages, Florida. The selected candidate will provide field support by reading customer water meters and recording consumption.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm


** This position has a pay rate of $16 - $16.50/hr **


Responsibilities
· Reads water meters on an assigned route and records readings
· Reports meter skip or not acceptable for reading
· Visually checks to see that meters are functioning properly and reports defective meters
· Repairs leaks and broken water lines
· Explains and interprets unusual readings to customer
· Turns water meters on and off, installs or assists with installation of meters and meter boxes
· Performs other related work as directed


Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED 
- A valid Driver’s License
