About the Role

Responsible for the admission and or registration of patients into the facility and maintaining communication between the organization and the patient referrals and family. Shift Times- 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 3rd shift 11pm - 8:00am <p><strong>Bowling Green Brandywine:</strong></p> <p>Bowling Green Brandywine is a leading Drug & Alcohol Addiction Treatment center and is located in the scenic and historic countryside of Pennsylvania’s Brandywine River Valley. Today, we are proud to offer a full spectrum of residential addiction treatment services including a special program focused entirely on the problem of prescription drug abuse and opiate addiction.</p> <p>This role follows a full-time position with <strong>rotating two‑week schedule</strong> with <strong>one weekday off each week</strong> and alternating weekends.</p> <p>Shift Times- 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM or 3rd shift 11pm - 8:00am</p> <div> <p><strong>Week 1:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Off Sunday</li> <li>Work Monday–Wednesday</li> <li>Off Thursday</li> <li>Work Friday–Saturday</li> </ul> <p><strong>Week 2:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work Sunday–Monday</li> <li>Off Tuesday</li> <li>Work Wednesday–Friday</li> <li>Off Saturday</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p> <p>· Greet and search new patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.</p> <p>· Review, in conjunction with Admission Counselor, prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.</p> <p>· Schedule assessments of voluntary patients.</p> <p>· Respond promptly to inquiry calls.</p> <p>· Responsible for clerical duties such as managing paperwork, handling data entry and answering phones.</p> <p>· Initiate contact, when applicable, to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.</p> <p>· Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment.</p> <p>· Assist Admission Counselor in registration of patient to the assigned program.</p> <p>· Efficient and accurate completion of the admission process of patients and the timely distribution of the paperwork necessary to notify staff of the arrival/transfer of each patient.</p> <p>· Refer inquiries to other agencies and community resources when not appropriate for facility assistance or admission.</p> <p>· Ensure all required patient information is received, processed and necessary appointments are made with the proper behavioral or medical health personnel.</p> <p>· Coordinate with referral sources.</p> <p>· Coordinate transportation arrangements for patients.</p> <p>· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</p> <p>· Search and Log patient belongings accurately and timely during intake process adhering to policies surrounding patient belongings.</p> <p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS: </strong></p> <p>· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p> <p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p> <p>· High school diploma required.</p> <p>· Bachelors/ Associates degree preferred.</p> <p>· One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions required. Preferably in the mental health or substance abuse field.</p> <p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: </strong></p> <p>· LPN, Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC); Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor (CCDC) or Certified Employee Assistance Program (CEAP) certification preferred.</p> <p>· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</p> <p>· First aid may be required based on state or facility.</p> <p> </p> <p><span><strong>EOE | Drug-Free Workplace</strong></span></p> Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities<br> This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
