Buying Assistant - General Merchandise (Warrington Based)

This role will be based in Warrington with the expectation of a minimum of 3 days in the office.

As a Buying Assistant within our GM team, you will support the buying teams in ensuring the customer comes first. You will work closely with stores, suppliers, buyers and wider teams to ensure completion of work in a timely manner.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Provide clear and consistent service to Trading teams

• Work with and coach various stakeholders to improve the quality of information being shared and transferred

• Update various stakeholders (eg bulletins to store teams) in a clear, concise and appropriate manner

• Consistent and robust retention of required documentation relating to our commitments and agreements with Suppliers in accordance with

• Groceries Supply Code of Practice.

• Accurate production of information enabling efficient entry into systems

• Creation and maintenance of documentation relating to buying and

• products – new products, promotions, retail price, cost price, range changes, samples etc

• Provide resolutions to invoice queries in a timely and effective manner

• Key role in elements of income generation following accurate and robust information from Buyers and Suppliers through promotions and deals.
