About the Role
Sirius Staffing is seeking a Plant Engineering & Electrical Automation Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in Blythewood, SC. This is 100% On-Site and will support the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for advanced automotive assembly operations. The ideal candidate for this role is a highly collaborative electrical engineering professional with deep experience supporting automotive assembly operations from concept through series production. Relocation assistance is available Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement electrical engineering concepts and planning strategies for assembly equipment and production systemsDesign and specify electrical systems in alignment with mechanical requirements and operational needsServe as the primary representative for all electrical matters related to assembly equipment, both internally and with external partnersCreate and manage detailed electrical specifications, including system interfaces and integration requirementsCoordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project timelinesOversee electrical interfaces between equipment, shopfloor IT systems, and other connected technologiesReview and approve electrical designs; resolve technical issues with vendors and contractorsSupport the full project lifecycle from concept development through installation, commissioning, and production launchPrepare cost estimates, conduct bid evaluations, and support vendor selectionDrive continuous improvement through change management, process optimization, and technical enhancementsCollaborate cross-functionally with production, IT, facilities, and EHS teamsEnsure compliance with all applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety regulationsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering field 5+ years of experience in automotive production environments3+ years of experience in assembly operations3+ years of experience in electrical systems and automation for production equipmentKnowledge of Equipment Electric Planning ProcessesStrong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsBasic technical knowledge in automation technology and/or production systems (e.g., industrial network structures, PLCs and control units, Siemens TIA Portal).Basic knowledge of production systems in the field of production (e.g., SCADA, Back-up and Recovery systems, MES). Experience with electrical design and specification for automotive assembly equipment, including conveyors, semi-automated, and fully automated stations, torque data management, etc. Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations (e.g., NEMA, NFPA 79, NEC)Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Engineering Experience with web-based tools and office applicationsCustomer-focused mindset with strong attention to detailProven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentWhy join us?
