Maintenance Mechanic

Immediate opening for a Maintenance Mechanic at a locally based company in Cedar Park! This individual will maintain and complete necessary repairs of vehicles, equipment and machinery in support of the manufacturing and production process with minimal supervision.

This local company has decades of experience in their industry and is committed to developing the skills and careers of their talented and hardworking employees.

Pay rate: $25.00-$30.00/hour, depending on experience

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of related experience in production machines.
• 2+ years maintaining on/off road equipment and vehicles
• Experience with diesel vehicles/equipment is a must
• Competent in electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Technical training/exposure to high-speed equipment.
• Strong problem solving/analysis
• Experience with basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, hand tools, etc.
• Understanding of OSHA and required safety precautions necessary to complete the job.
• Professional and courteous attitude with excellent communication skills.

Job Essential Functions:

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain diesel/gas engines, hydraulic motors, hydraulic pumps, transmissions, and various other equipment using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning hydraulic, electrical, mechanical systems and components using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Inspect equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
• Advise management of the status of equipment making sure safety standards are a priority.
• Complete the assigned task in a timely and professional manner.
