The role of Head of Strategic Sourcing will work for a business operating across multiple Manufacturing Operations and a Far East Supply Chain, supplying into a Global Customer Base.

Job Description

The role of Head of Strategic Sourcing will be repsonsible:

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to meet business objectives.
• Identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and quality.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
• Analyse market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulations.
• Manage budgets effectively to achieve financial targets.
• Lead and mentor the procurement team to enhance performance and capabilities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Strategic Sourcing should have:

• Proven expertise in procurement and supply chain management within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
• Experience of sourcing forgings, metals, electronics, castings or similar product categories would be beneficial
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic sourcing plans.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost optimisation.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement policies and regulations.
