🎯 Your Impact
As Assistant Headteacher, you’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to strengthen teaching, learning, wellbeing, and behaviour across the school. You’ll be a visible, trusted leader who empowers staff, builds meaningful relationships with families, and maintains high standards of care and education.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Supporting whole‑school strategic development
Leading behaviour and wellbeing approaches rooted in trauma‑informed practice
Coaching and developing teaching and support staff
Supporting curriculum design and high‑quality classroom practice
Strengthening safeguarding, SEND provision, and pastoral systems
Monitoring progress, supporting data analysis, and driving improvement
Ensuring a culture of aspiration, safety, and belonging for all learners
💼 Who We’re Looking For

Experienced teachers with a strong track record of impact
Confident in SEMH, behaviour, or inclusion leadership (specialist experience ideal)
Committed to relational practice, restorative approaches and trauma‑informed strategies
Skilled at developing staff practice and building positive team culture
Calm, reflective and resilient under pressure
Able to drive school improvement while keeping wellbeing at the core of decision‑making
Ready for a challenge that is meaningful, demanding, and deeply rewarding
Leadership experience is desirable, but exceptional middle leaders ready for their next step will also be considered.
