We provide comprehensive critical operational, engineering and customer support solutions including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry.   We’re hiring Avionics Technicians to help drive our continued success!    Purpose of the role:   MHIRJ’s network of service centers, support offices and parts depots are positioned in important aviation hubs in the U.S. The Avionics Technician installs and tests complex avionics equipment and electrical systems on aircraft while complying with environmental health/safety policies and procedures.    Here are the daily responsibilities of an Avionics Technician:   Remove, repair and re-install any problematic avionics equipment before aircraft is cleared. Provide accurate diagnosis of avionics problem(s). Perform and document all work per appropriate manuals and regulations. Assemble and install electrical components. Operate ground support equipment if required. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and work performed on aircraft.   Here is what is required to succeed:   Minimum of 1 year of work experience or substantiated equivalent experience.  High school diploma or equivalent required.  Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Excellent analytical skills and attention-to-detail. Strong working knowledge of aviation safety practices and technology.  Understand various aircraft systems, such as hydraulics and flight controls. Possess (basic) set of tools. Ability to effectively communicate aircraft maintenance actions verbally and in writing. Comfortable working with technology / entering aircraft maintenance actions into a computer-based system.  Ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA), if applicable.      Preferred Qualifications:   FAA-issued Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license. Corporate jet aircraft or commercial aircraft experience.   Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections).  GROL (General Radiotelephone Operator License) or AET (Aircraft Electronics Technician) Certification.  Certification from Avionics, Electric A/C Technical school or equivalent military training.   Work Environment:   We put safety first and take pride in creating workspaces that invite collaboration and innovation.   Our Service Centers are world-class, and our technicians work in climate-controlled hangars that are clean, comfortable, and promote safety. Position requires full-time presence at our Tucson, Arizona or Bridgeport, WV facility with on-site collaboration essential to role success 12-hour shifts on a 3/4/4/3 schedule, which include days, nights, and weekends.
