An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing residential platform operating across Build to Rent (BTR) and Single-Family Housing (SFH). We’re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager who wants to take real ownership — not just of policies, but of outcomes! If you’re motivated by accountability, high standards and meaningful impact, this could be the role for you.
The Opportunity
You’ll take the lead on health, safety and fire compliance across a growing portfolio — ensuring not only that legal requirements are met, but that safety truly works in practice. Regulation is evolving, expectations are higher than ever, and the responsibility is real within residential environments.

- Lead fire safety strategy, ensuring risk assessments are current and actions are completed
- Own Building Safety Act compliance, including higher-risk building obligations
- Maintain real-time visibility of compliance status across the portfolio
- Ensure all testing, servicing and certification is completed with no gaps or ambiguity
Raising Standards
- Close the gap between policy and what actually happens on site
- Develop practical, usable policies and procedures owned by operational teams
- Drive a safety culture that goes beyond minimum compliance
- Lead training and ensure teams understand and meet their responsibilities
Partnering with Operations
- Work closely with estates, maintenance and operational teams to embed safety into day-to-day delivery
- Provide practical, compliant solutions — enabling progress rather than blocking it
- Support contractor management and ensure safe systems of work are followed
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders
Managing Risk & Assurance
- Lead incident reporting, investigations and root cause analysis
- Identify trends and drive systemic improvements
- Maintain a robust and accurate risk register
- Deliver clear, honest reporting to leadership
- Manage audits and respond to findings with pace and discipline
Experience
- Proven health & safety experience across multi-site residential portfolios - BTR, SFH, PBSA, Residential
- Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and the Building Safety Act
- Track record of embedding safety in operational environments
- Experience managing statutory compliance programmes at scale
- NEBOSH qualified (or equivalent); fire safety qualifications highly desirable
Why Join?
- Be part of building a business and safety function from the ground up
- Work in an environment where standards matter and decisions stick
- Take real ownership and make a visible impact
- Shape how safety is delivered across a growing residential platform
