Kickstart Your Career in Accounting & Finance - Graduate Opportunities Are you a recent graduate (Class of 2024, 2025, or 2026) eager to launch your career in accounting and finance? Our client is looking for motivated individuals with a strong numerical aptitude who either hold an AAT qualification or are actively working towards it. This is a permanent, office-based role paying up to £27,000, supporting multiple branches and offering variety, hands-on experience, and the chance to develop within a dynamic, multi-site business. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing sales ledger processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the wider finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with minimal or no prior professional experience to gain exposure to real accounting and finance responsibilities. You will develop essential skills, including: Financial reporting, bookkeeping, and reconciliations Budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis Use of Excel and accounting software for real-world business operations Key Responsibilities: Posting daily banking transactions Processing and reconciling incoming payments Monitoring and maintaining customer accounts (debtors) Carrying out credit control duties, including chasing overdue payments and resolving queries Ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions to the general ledger Managing ad hoc financial duties, including staff expenses, parking fines, and speeding fines Liaising with internal departments to resolve customer account issues Assisting with month-end close procedures and reconciliations Supporting the finance team with continuous improvement initiatives Our client values enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
