Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) for a
travel assignment in Silver Spring, Maryland. This is a
specialized clinical role focused on the assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic wounds in a patient-centered care environment.

- Contract Type: Travel RN – Wound Care
- Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
- Setting: Acute care and/or outpatient wound care environment
- EMR: Facility-specific system (training provided)
As a Wound Care RN, you will serve as a
clinical specialist and resource for wound management, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care and improve healing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments, staging, and measurements
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Provide advanced wound care therapies and dressing management
- Monitor healing progress and adjust care plans as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, and case management
- Educate patients, families, and staff on wound care and prevention
- Ensure compliance with infection control and skin integrity protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Support quality initiatives related to wound care and pressure injury prevention
- Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Wound Care Certified (WCC) – Required
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience (acute care preferred)
Preferred:
- Experience in wound care, med/surg, home health, or long-term care
- Familiarity with advanced wound care therapies and products
