About the Role
<p>QAT Automation Engineer / DevOps Test Engineer</p>
<p>AWS | Python | CI/CD | SC / DV Cleared</p>
<p>We are supporting a secure government programme looking to hire a highly technical QAT Automation Engineer / DevOps Test Engineer to join a modern cloud-native software engineering team.</p>
<p>This is not a traditional manual testing role.</p>
<p>The team is operating within a serverless, event-driven AWS environment and is looking for someone who can help improve and optimise the route from developed code into live production safely, efficiently and at pace.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will work closely with software engineers, platform engineers and delivery teams to improve automation, testing, deployment reliability and release velocity across the wider engineering function.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement automated testing solutions across cloud-native applications and services</li>
<li>Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes to increase deployment speed and reliability</li>
<li>Build and maintain integration and automated test frameworks within AWS environments</li>
<li>Work closely with software engineers to ensure code is tested and production-ready</li>
<li>Support deployment automation and environment consistency across development pipelines</li>
<li>Help improve quality assurance practices across the engineering team</li>
<li>Contribute towards DevOps and automation best practices</li>
<li>Assist with troubleshooting deployment and integration issues within cloud environments</li>
<li>Support continuous improvement around testing strategy, automation and operational resilience</li>
</ul>
<p>Core Technical Skills</p>

<li>Strong automated testing / QAT engineering experience</li>
<li>Python</li>
<li>AWS cloud environments</li>
<li>CI/CD pipeline engineering</li>
<li>Deployment automation</li>

<li>Experience working directly within software engineering teams</li>
<li>Understanding of cloud-native and event-driven architectures</li>
</ul>

<p>Location / Working Pattern</p>

<li>London-based team</li>
<li>Majority remote with onsite collaboration for key sprint ceremonies/workshops</li>
</ul>
<p>Clearance</p>
<p>Active SC, enhanced SC or DV clearance is highly desirable.</p>
<p>Candidates without active clearance may still be considered depending on previous government experience and eligibility.</p>
