Job Details: Job Description: Altera Corporation, the world’s largest independent provider of pure-play FPGA solutions, is looking for an outstanding Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our team! As the Channel FAE in the West, you will leverage your deep technical knowledge of FPGAs and systems, leadership & communications skills, and business acumen to engage with Altera’s broad base customers and distributor FAEs and grow this important part of our business. You will work with cutting edge DSP, AI, embedded, high speed connectivity, security, etc. across a vast number of industries. This role will push your ability as an engineer exposing, exposing you to a wide variety of technologies and allowing you to build a broad network in the electronics industry. You will be expected to: Work with our distribution FAEs to promote Altera technology to win new FPGA business: Present the technical capabilities of whole product portfolio Engage with customers' architects and key decision makers to understand their applications, influence their design choices, and develop creative solutions to their problems Create and deliver technical proposals based on product knowledge, customer requirements, and inputs from internal teams. Contribute to and execute on territory, account, and opportunity plans. Provide technical support to customers. Mentor and teach distribution FAEs to develop knowledge and skills. Build strong and influential relationships within Altera and the customer base. Lead the technical development & execution of product and applications based proofs of concept and customer campaigns. Be a conduit and facilitator for technical feedback from the DFAEs and broadbase customers to Engineering, Planning, and Applications. The compensation below is reflective of a sales role that includes a salary + incentive. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor within the US market. Actual compensation may vary based on a number of factors including job location, job-related knowledge, skills, experiences, trainings, etc. $159.7K - $231.2K USD We use artificial intelligence to screen, assess, or select applicants for the position.
