<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Technician</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout a high-volume facility. In this role, you install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while using data analysis and maintenance management tools to drive reliability and performance. You also play a key role in mentoring junior technicians, helping them develop their technical capabilities and grow in their roles.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Repair and maintain material handling equipment (MHE) and pneumatic systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across the facility.</li><li>Install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, including conveyors, sorters, and robotics systems.</li><li>Perform predictive and preventative maintenance procedures on MHE, automated conveyor systems, and related mechanical and controls equipment.</li><li>Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on material handling equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.</li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to guide maintenance and repair activities.</li><li>Apply maintenance management and preventative maintenance planning practices, using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work and track asset performance.</li><li>Use data analysis and basic project management skills to support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance equipment reliability.</li><li>Demonstrate and uphold safety standards at all times, proactively identifying risks and contributing to a safe work environment.</li><li>Mentor and support junior technicians by sharing knowledge, demonstrating best practices, and providing guidance during maintenance activities.</li><li>Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to minimize downtime, prioritize work orders, and ensure timely completion of repairs.</li><li>Support risk management efforts by recognizing potential equipment failures and recommending corrective and preventive actions.</li><li>Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support operational requirements.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>At least 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.</li><li>At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment (MHE), automated conveyor systems, or related mechanical and controls equipment.</li><li>At least 2 years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.</li><li>At least 2 years of experience demonstrating and following safety standards in an industrial or maintenance environment.</li><li>At least 1 year of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE).</li><li>At least 1 year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office products and applications.</li><li>Ability to perform electrical troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting on automated and material handling systems.</li><li>Experience with maintenance management and preventative maintenance planning in an industrial or automated environment.</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays.</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and maintenance records.</li><li>Familiarity with automation and control systems used in packaging, distribution, or manufacturing environments.</li><li>Exposure to robotics, sorters, and other advanced material handling technologies.</li><li>Understanding of risk management principles as they relate to equipment reliability and workplace safety.</li><li>Experience with data analysis to identify trends in equipment performance and maintenance needs.</li><li>Basic project management skills to support maintenance and improvement initiatives.</li><li>Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma.</li><li>Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior technicians or team members.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You join a workplace that invests in your well-being and long-term success through competitive total rewards and strong support for work-life balance.
