About the RoleDerby City Council is seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Adults Safeguarding Team in a frontline capacity.
This role is based within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), working collaboratively alongside Police, Children's Services, Probation, and Health partners to safeguard vulnerable adults and promote positive outcomes.
This is a fast-paced and rewarding opportunity for a confident practitioner with strong safeguarding knowledge and risk management skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake Section 42 safeguarding adult enquiries in line with the Care Act 2014.
Appropriately apply Care Act eligibility criteria and safeguarding thresholds.
Triage incoming referrals and complete robust risk assessments.
Make timely contact with adults at risk and/or their representatives.
Develop strengths-based safety plans in partnership with adults and multi-agency colleagues.
Work collaboratively within the MASH environment to share information and reduce risk.
Ensure all recording is accurate, defensible, and compliant with statutory guidance.
RequirementsQualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Experience within Adult Safeguarding and frontline statutory services.
Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding legislation.
Experience working within a multi-agency environment is desirable.
Excellent communication, analytical, and risk assessment skills.
