Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator you will run our toilet tissue and kitchen towel rewinder machines. You will be required to make simple adjustments and replace certain parts when needed such as conveyor belts. Shifts are: 4 on 4 off. We operate 24/7, 365 days a year. Shift patterns may slightly vary initially. Job Description Key Responsibilities of the Machine Operator Assist in effectively meeting customer demand by ensuring your line meets or exceeds targets in a safe manner. Communicate any process or issues to the Production Management Team. Ensure the line continues to run smoothly and systems operate efficiently. Ensuring product is produced at a high quality by completing line checks. Working to job cards ensuring specifications and instructions are followed. Complete any relevant documentation in an accurate and timely manner as directed by your supervisor. Ensure; quality, H&S, efficiency and reduction of waste are being achieved. Follow the clean down and GMP standards in place. During downtime – ensure the area is cleaned or complete activities as instructed. Complete all relevant documentation in an accurate and timely manner. General cleaning and maintenance of area to be upheld. Any critical control points are monitored and action taken if necessary. Job Requirements BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Confidence and ability to make minor machine setting adjustments and fault finding. Work within a small team. Able to clean down the machine when not running. Have experience of operating/setting on a large machine (Preferably but not essential a large rewinder which uses heavy reels of paper for converting).
