About the Role
Introduction
This is a key commercial role helping to deliver a major change and transformation to a defence organisations training systems including how that training is delivered. You will be part of a global organisation who supply a variety of services to the UK defence industry.
You will be managing various subcontracts & suppliers who will be delivering elements of this training. Deep knowledge of subcontract management and contract negotiation is required as well as great stakeholder management experience. We are looking for a mission driven manager and leader who can drive this change and work with the supplier to deliver a top-level service.

Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site and a half day every Friday.
Key responsibilities
Manage £50–£100m supplier contracts with minimal oversight, ensuring delivery to business needs.
Act as the subcontract’s expert, supporting planning, budgeting, and decision making.
Resolve supply chain issues through investigation, analysis, and experience.
Negotiate and manage contracts, NDAs, and terms and conditions.
Improve processes and systems across teams and suppliers to boost performance.
Guide and support junior team members, reviewing work and developing capability.
Skills & experience
Degree in STEM or business (or equivalent experience) with strong background in subcontracting.
Deep knowledge of supplier management and contract delivery.
Able to lead independently, solve problems, and influence across teams.
Strong communicator with experience working in matrixed and military/industry environments.
