About the Role

<strong>Role: Senior Platform Product Manager</strong><br><br><strong>Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid – 2 Days a Month On-Site)</strong><br><br><strong>Salary: £47,000 – £56,500</strong><br><br>Network IT are working with a highly respected organisation to recruit a <strong>Senior Platform Product Manager</strong> to join their Digital Services function. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the development and optimisation of <strong>internal platform products</strong>, shaping services that enable teams and stakeholders across the organisation.<br><br>You will play a key role in delivering <strong>data-driven, internally focused platform capabilities</strong>, working across the full product lifecycle and operating within a modern, collaborative product environment.<br><br><strong>Role Overview</strong><br><br>As a <strong>Senior Platform Product Manager</strong>, you will take ownership of <strong>complex internal platform products</strong>, ensuring they deliver value across multiple teams and stakeholders.<br><br>This role is suited to an <strong>established Senior Product Manager (not someone stepping up from PM)</strong> with strong experience delivering <strong>internal data and infrastructure platforms</strong>, rather than external or B2B products.<br><br>You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to drive <strong>product adoption, business change, and ongoing support</strong>, acting as the bridge between technical teams and business needs.<br><br>Operating within <strong>cross-functional “build, run, own” teams</strong>, you will combine strong product leadership with solid technical awareness (APIs, cloud platforms, security), enabling you to engage meaningfully with engineering teams while maintaining a clear focus on value, delivery, and outcomes.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br><br><ul><li>Own the <strong>end-to-end lifecycle of internal platform products</strong>, from discovery through to delivery and continuous improvement<br><br></li><ul><li>Define and communicate a clear <strong>product vision, strategy, and roadmap</strong>, aligned to internal user needs<br><br></li><li>Drive <strong>product adoption across the organisation</strong>, working closely with stakeholders and leading business change activities<br><br></li><li>Collaborate with <strong>cross-functional “build, run, own” teams</strong>, ensuring products are successfully delivered and supported<br><br></li><li>Manage and prioritise the <strong>product backlog</strong>, leveraging data and insight to inform decisions<br><br></li><li>Translate business needs into clear <strong>user stories</strong>, utilising modern tools including AI assistance where appropriate<br><br></li><li>Engage extensively with stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring ongoing alignment and confidence<br><br></li><li>Support <strong>operational ownership of products</strong>, including incident handling, change management, and continuous improvement<br><br></li><li>Ensure products deliver measurable <strong>business value and internal user outcomes</strong><br><br></li><li>Contribute to a culture of <strong>collaboration, ownership, and product excellence</strong><br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>Essential Skills & Experience</strong><br><br><ul><li>Currently operating as a <strong>Senior Product Manager</strong> (not stepping up from a more junior role)<br><br></li><ul><li>Strong experience delivering <strong>internal products</strong>, particularly <strong>data platforms, infrastructure, or shared services</strong><br><br></li><li>Proven track record of driving <strong>product adoption and business change</strong>, with a strong stakeholder focus<br><br></li><li>Experience working within <strong>cross-functional “build, run, own” teams</strong> (not purely development-led environments)<br><br></li><li>Strong technical understanding of: <br><br><ul><li><strong>APIs and integrations</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)</strong><br><br></li><li><strong>Security and non-functional requirements</strong><br><br></li></ul></ul></li><ul><li>Ability to write and refine <strong>user stories</strong>, including use of <strong>AI-assisted tools</strong><br><br></li><li>Excellent stakeholder management skills, having spent significant time working directly with business users<br><br></li><li>Strong communication and influencing skills, able to operate confidently across technical and non-technical audiences<br><br></li><li>Experience using <strong>data and insight to drive product decisions and prioritisation</strong><br><br></li><li>Comfortable working in <strong>Agile environments</strong> with a flexible, delivery-focused approach<br><br></li></ul></ul>
